Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Support Group

Inflammatory Bowel Disease, also known as IBD or Chronic Enteropathy, can be difficult to manage because each dog is different and responds to treatment in different ways.  Often a diagnosis of exclusion, after many expensive unsuccessful treatments and diet changes, owners can be incredibly stressed and frustrated.   Since I continue to manage greyhound Sox who has this condition, I chose to start a support group on Facebook for New Zealand dog owners.  

This support group only refers to medication and products that are available here – all of the other support groups I found were based in the Northern Hemisphere and referred to products we couldn’t access.  I have also included information about faecal transplant since oral faecal transplant capsules are not allowed to be imported into New Zealand.
