Orastrip Testing

OraStrip (or OraStripdx) is quick, 10-second test to detect early and active periodontal (gum) disease in awake dogs.  Dental health is critical to the health of your dog, and Orastrip is the Fear Free way of getting an early indication of when your dog may need to have a dental exam or scale and polish at the vet.

The strip checks for thiols; these are the smelly sulfur compounds produced by harmful bacteria hiding under the gums.  The strip will change colour, with darker tones indicating a much higher concentration of harmful bacteria.

I can add OraStrip testing to your dog’s visit for only $7 inc GST.
